Eric Harlan and Renée Lane-Kunz named Employment Law Group co-chairs
Shapiro Sher attorneys Eric R. Harlan and Renée Lane-Kunz are named co-chairs of the firm’s Employment Law Group, as reported here.
Ms. Lane-Kunz has 20 years of management experience in the hospitality and tourism industry. A longtime member of the Executive Committee at the Harbor Court Hotel in Baltimore, she handled general liability claims, employment law and human resource issues, and supervised outside counsel. In her legal career, she has worked with clients in diverse industries, including hospitality, manufacturing, higher education, information technology, biotechnology, and government contracting. She has drafted employment handbooks, negotiated employment agreements, and counseled organizations on hiring practices. She has also successfully resolved complaints brought against employers by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Maryland Commission on Human Relations.
Mr. Harlan is a trial lawyer with sixteen years of experience representing clients in state and federal courts. He has achieved favorable results for clients in a variety of employment-related matters, including actions to enforce non-competition or non-solicitation agreements, claims alleging breach of employment agreement, wrongful discharge, sexual harassment, and violations of federal and state anti-discrimination laws.In recognition of his accomplishments, Martindale-Hubbell awarded Mr. Harlan its AV Peer Review Rating, the highest rating available.
