Attorney Profile

Jessica L. Swadow is an associate in Shapiro Sher’s Insurance Law Group. She represents insurance companies, producers, and other professionals in complex insurance coverage litigation, business torts, and other commercial disputes.  

Prior to joining Shapiro Sher, Ms. Swadow worked as an associate and as a law clerk at two Baltimore firms. There she represented clients in a variety of litigation matters, including those involving insurance carriers and coverage, professional-liability claims, employment, construction, and general liability defense.

Ms. Swadow graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law, where she served as Chair of the Honor Board and as a member of the John J. Gibbons National Criminal Procedure Moot Court Team. While in law school, Ms. Swadow served as a student attorney with the Innocence Project Clinic, representing indigent clients in a post-conviction setting. Ms. Swadow was twice awarded the Governor’s Volunteer Service Certificate.
